The Island of Ibiza:

No list of holiday party destinations is complete without Ibiza. Sitting nearly 50 miles off the Spanish coast, Ibiza has for years been the ultimate European destination for young party people.

A summer destination, the island has everything you would expect from a party island, and much more. The island’s capitol, Ibiza Town, has a beautiful old harbour, historic buildings, and old narrow cobbled streets. For those with just party time in mind visiting ‘Privelege’, reputed to be the world’s largest club, is a must. If you’re hardcore, leave Privelege and visit ‘Space’, this club opens when all others are closing, and you can continue partying the day away.

Tenerife in Summer:

Largest of the Canary Isles and situated just under 100 miles off the African coast, Tenerife is an island of year round sunshine. Whether you are a party animal, or prefer the quieter holiday hotspots, Tenerife could be for you.

Its Teide National Park is one of the busiest in the world and costs nothing to enjoy. Hiking, trekking, and biking trails are all over the Island. The north of the island, with its capitol Sante-Cruz de Tenerife, is old Spanish. Historic buildings, old cobbled streets, and small Spanish tapas bars, combine with the modern cruise-liner and container port.

The party areas are along the south of the island, Playa de Las Americas being the most famous. The summer is the time of 18 -30’s, where clubs like Rags and Tramps party the night away with famous DJ’s until six in the morning.

Phuket Island, Thailand :

Thailand’s largest island, Phuket is just 30 miles long by 13 wide. Western Phuket is where most of the chill-out beach lovers head for although, with the increasing numbers of visitors arriving each year, some of the more popular beaches are looking a bit worn out.

The interior of Phuket is much less touristy. If you fancy a day away from the beaches; mangrove forests, pineapple and rubber plantations, fishing villages, and shrimp farms await your arrival.

Sapa Treks, Vietnam:

If your idea of a good holiday is lots of activity in far off places, then this trek, in the highlands of Sapa, northwest Vietnam, is the ideal introduction to trekking in Asia. One word of caution, check your travel insurance, many have clauses regarding more active holidays.

Although a trekking holiday, you do get some time off your feet when travelling to visit Hanoi. Its surrounding cultural heritage, the breathtaking scenery, the settlements and villages, are home to some of South West China’s, and North Vietnamese’s surviving minority groups. A holiday far removed from the normal packages.

Working in the Majete Wildlife Reserve:

If you already have a strong social conscience for preserving the world’s wildlife, then this could be right up your street. A working holiday in Malawi’s Majete Wildlife Reserve, you will get to see Africa’s wildlife up close.

Work involves helping researchers, working with rangers, checking on herds and waterholes, and collating data on other animals. An ideal holiday for those studying conservation at university.
