CO Restaurant-Charleston, South Carolina

  • Share

Vietnamese food was a first for me. I have always heard of Pho but this was my first time trying it at CO in historic downtown Charleston. The decor is modern, warm and inviting. Our waitress was friendly and explained the menu to us as well as the different sauces they custom make in house every week. We ordered the sambal shrimp and pork dumplings. They were served in a delectable spicy chili broth. When they say something is spicy here, it really is. We truly enjoyed them. For our entrees we ordered ga pho, which is shredded chicken, rice vermicelli, bean sprouts, cilantro, thai basil, scallions and beef broth. We also ordered their drunken thai noodles, which is chili nam pla, red onions, beech mushrooms and thai basil. Both dishes were incredible. The broth of the ga pho was delicious and full of flavor. It came with a sweet hoisen sauce and spicy sriracha I can’t wait to order more pho after eating here! The drunken thai noodles were fresh and had just the right amount of spice. Overall CO was an excellent experience.

Mmmm, all that food looks great. Especially the wontons at the beginning. I'll have to remember this place once we get to South Carolina.

Looks yummy! Atlanta has a pretty big Asian population, so there are quite a few really good Pho restaurants around town. Strangely enough, though I live in the south and have traveled it extensively, I’ve *NEVER* been to Charleston… Bet they’ve got some great Southern restaurants, too!
