Iceland is the ultimate destination for adventure travel! I used to have a photo of Jökulsárlón or Glacier Bay on my wall in Los Angeles in 2011 so it really meant a lot to me to finally make it there. The drive to Glacier bay was very scenic, we drove past several beautiful huge glaciers on the southern coast of Iceland.
We brought our trusty viking Olaf the Great with us for good luck.When we got to Glacier Bay the first thing I had to do was stand on the ice, it almost broke when the three of us tried to take a photo on it.
An adorable seal kept poking it’s head up to say hi.
The water was ice cold and so pure.My friends Christine and Marissa enjoyed exploring too.
This was one of the most surreal landscapes I have ever been too.I had to really bundle up for the cold.I love the shades of blue in the ice.Marissa kept warm with a furry hood.
The older pieces of the glacier have dirt in them that are hundereds of years old.
Being silly.
Departing Glacier Bay was just as scenic as driving there.
