By booking these vacations now, you can access some of the best deals, and you’ll give yourself something to look forward to when the seasons change. Bag yourself a bargain

Firstly, make sure you bag yourself a bargain. Remember, any money you save when arranging these snowy sojourns will give you extra cash in your pocket for when you arrive at your destination of choice. For the very best deals, it pays to choose one of the cheaper locations. For example, if you’re keen to head to Europe, you may be best steering clear of countries like France and Switzerland and instead heading to the likes of Italy or Bulgaria.

You can also get impressive value for money if you travel outside the peak skiing season. Great offers can usually be found in the period before Christmas and from mid to late March. Do your research before booking though, because snow conditions can be unreliable in certain regions during these times.

Another money saving tip is to be flexible about your departure and return dates. It’s worth bearing in mind that it tends to be cheaper to fly on weekdays than weekends.

Once you’ve booked your trip, it’s time to think about that all-important skiing gear. If you don’t have your own, you’ll be able to hire your skis in your resort, but you’ll need to buy yourself some chic and comfy skiing clothes before you jet off. Think about everything from your googles to your gloves, trousers, base layers, socks and boots.

Then there’s your jacket to consider. There’s certainly no shortage of ski jackets women can choose from, and by selecting a good one, you can help ensure you look and feel the part on the slopes. You can take your pick between padded and shell styles, but whichever design you opt for, make sure it is effective at wicking sweat away from your body. You might also want a jacket that features underarm vents, and make sure it’s got good waterproofing. The best jackets do a great job of keeping snow out while allowing your body heat and moisture to escape. Bear in mind that some versions can be linked to pants with the help of special loops, hooks, zips or poppers.

By booking the perfect ski trip and stocking up on clothing and kit, you can ensure you’ll have a great time on the slopes when the chilly season arrives.
