It has been on my lifelist as long as I’ve had one to see the Northern Lights (or the Aurora Borealis). My friends Marissa, Christine and I spent 11 days driving around the country of Iceland and while we briefly saw some color in the sky while camping-we didn’t see the Northern Lights in the way that we imagined them. On Christine and Marissa’s very last night in Iceland we thought we would try one last time to find the elusive Northern Lights. We invited two new friends we made at the Reykjavik Bus Hostel Marc and John. We drove outside of Reykjavik and we could actually see the green lights dancing from the car! I picked a random side road and we parked. Coincidentally there was a cave there so it was pretty neat to go down into the cave and shoot the sky! We even explored back in the cave as well but didn’t get photos of that. The Northern Lights were beyond beautiful! Definitely one of my best life experiences ever!
