1. Go Snowshoeing
Rocky Mountain National Park is a great place to snowshoe in Colorado. There are well maintained trails both there at Grand Lake and in Estes park. You just need some snowshoes and if you want, poles. If you don’t have your own both places provide rentals or you could pick up some used on Craigslist. I went a few months ago in Rocky Mountain National Park and I enjoyed snowshoeing more without the poles. It’s a great work out too!
2. Camping
Camping is one of the best ways to experience Colorado. I love going camping with my friends, making S’mores, enjoying the wildlife and exploring. I normally travel with a two person tent and my own sleeping bag. The best part about camping is sitting around the fire sharing a meal together, good conversation and looking at the stars. Being in nature is so peaceful. If you love cannabis, you can order cannabis seeds worldwide before your next Colorado camping trip!
3. See Street Performers
Both Boulder and Denver feature amazing street performers. You can go to the Pearl Street Mall area to see magicians, contortionists, jugglers and many more different acts. There is even a guy who can tell you your United States zipcode from any town that you are from!
4. Go Snowboarding
The snowboarding in Colorado is some of the best in the world. I went last season in Winter Park at Winter Park Resort and I had so much fun. I did my first snowboarding lesson and it was well worth it!
5. Go Climbing
I’ve been climbing many summers in Colorado. I’m a a beginner skill level but still have really enjoyed the challenge. I’ve gone climbing around Boulder, Colorado and spent one summer climbing in Glenwood Springs at Rifle Canyon!
6. Create Art in Nature
I love to paint, both on canvas and my face! I feel very inspired to paint, do photography and journal when I’m in the mountains in Colorado. The perfect place free of distractions to just be.
7. Explore Colorado’s Waterfalls
Colorado is home to some of the most spectacular landscape in the United States, so it only makes sense that it would be home to Spectacular waterfalls! One of my favorites is Hanging Lake. The lake area features several incredible waterfalls and amazing scenery looking out over the mountains. These are great to visit on a trip to or from Glenwood Springs. Rocky Mountain National Park also has some very pretty falls.
8. Go Snowmobiling
Colorado offers abundant snowfall and the ability to ride uninterrupted from region to region with a full range of services available en route. It is absolutely magical to glide through the trees and to see stunning mountain views!
9. Go Hiking
Colorado is definitely one of my favorite places to hike. My favorite thing to do is to pack a picnic and hike Hoosier Pass. You can drive up most of the way and hike for another hour and a half to the summit. At the summit you have stunning three hundred sixty degree views of Breckenridge and Lake Dillon. It’s one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been.
10. Swim in a Lake
Colorado summers can get pretty hot, it’s always fun to take a dip in a local lake. There are thousands of pretty lakes all over the state. Although be warned, even in the summer some of them are still pretty cold as they are fed by melted snow from the mountains. You won’t find cleaner or more pure water!
