It has been on my lifelist as long as I’ve had one to see the Northern Lights (or the Aurora Borealis). My friends Marissa, Christine and I spent 11 days driving around the country of Iceland and while we briefly saw some color in the sky while camping-we didn’t see the Northern Lights in the way that we imagined them.

The small town Hveragerði is known for it’s hot springs, we showed up with no idea where to stay. We went to the gas station and a friendly lady recommended the Frumskógar Guesthouse.
